The kit allows you to choose between building either the Chokai or the Maya. The Chokai model captures its appearance after a small refurbishment but before its weapons were strengthened. The Maya model is inspired by its role in the Mariana Okinawa war, reflecting its renovations which included the removal of the third turret and the addition of 13 models of 25mm triple machine guns and 6 12.7cm high-angle interlocking guns. A dedicated name stick is also included for display.
