This Perfect Grade rendition of the Gundam Exia features a meticulously designed full mechanical inner frame, allowing for an exceptional range of dynamic posing and showcasing rich surface details. Armor panels across the body incorporate open hatch gimmicks, revealing intricate internal mechanical structures, GN Condensers, and GN Cables, mimicking the realism of its in-universe counterpart. The GN Drive, a central feature, boasts a layered construction with opening panels and a removable cover piece, all supervised by mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa.

While the standard kit does not include an LED unit, it is fully compatible with the separately sold PG LED Unit for Gundam Exia, which enables stunning light-up effects across the GN Condensers, cables, and GN Drive. The kit utilizes metallic seals to reflect light, enhancing the appearance of light-emitting areas. It also features the first-ever use of light-conducting material in Gunpla history, combining soft silicone with highly light-conductive resin for flexible movement without compromising potential LED light effects.
