As a solvent-based acrylic paint, Mr. Color provides a wide spectrum of colors and finishes, consistently drying to a smoother and harder surface compared to aqueous hobby colors. It is suitable for painting almost all types of models, delivering exceptional results whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or new to the hobby.
For optimal application and cleanup, Mr. Color paints require the use of Mr. Thinner, available in standard, Rapid, and Leveling varieties. When brush painting, 1 to 2 coats are recommended for full coverage. For airbrushing, 2 to 3 coats are suggested, with a thinning ratio of 1 part Mr. Color to 1-2 parts Mr. Thinner, depending on the desired viscosity. The gloss level of other Mr. Color paints can be adjusted by mixing in Mr. Flat Base (C-30), typically 5-10% for a semi-gloss or 10-20% for a full matt finish.
