Formulated for excellent coverage and adhesion, Mr. Color Sail Color is a versatile choice for both brush painting and airbrushing. Its fast-drying properties enhance work efficiency, allowing you to build layers and complete your projects with greater speed. Beyond sailing ships, this paint is suitable for a wide array of plastic models, including military tanks, aircraft, car models, and robot models, offering a smoother and harder finish compared to water-based alternatives.
For optimal results, thin Mr. Color 45 with Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Leveling Thinner, or Mr. Rapid Thinner. When hand brushing, a paint to thinner ratio of 1:0.8 to 1:1 is recommended. For airbrushing, a ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 (paint to thinner) will provide a smooth application. Typically, 1 to 2 coats are recommended for brush painting, while 2 to 3 coats are ideal for airbrushing. The semi-gloss finish can be further adjusted by mixing in Mr. Color Flat Base if a more matte appearance is desired.
