Middle Stone is a classic shade, often utilized for RAF aircraft, providing a semi-gloss sheen that perfectly captures the look of real-world military machines. Its advanced formula ensures good adhesion and fast drying, resulting in a smoother and harder paint film compared to water-based alternatives.
Whether you prefer the precision of hand brushing or the smooth coverage of an airbrush, Mr. Color 21 delivers consistent, professional results. For brush painting, 1 to 2 coats are recommended, while airbrushing typically requires 2 to 3 coats for optimal coverage.
To achieve the best airbrushing performance, thin the paint with Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Color Levelling Thinner, or Mr. Color Rapid Thinner at a ratio of 1 part paint to 1-2 parts thinner, adjusting for desired viscosity. The gloss level can also be fine-tuned by adding Mr. Flat Base, with 5-10% creating a semi-gloss finish and 10-20% yielding a matte appearance.
