Mr. Color paints are renowned among modelers worldwide for their outstanding finish, superior adhesion, and fast drying properties. When mixed with Mr. Color 188 - Flat Base Rough, you can precisely control the level of flatness. A mix of approximately 5 to 10% will convert gloss colors to a semi-gloss finish, while 10 to 20% will achieve a full matte effect. The "Rough" variant provides a more intense, textured flat sheen compared to its "Smooth" counterpart, making it ideal for capturing and sealing weathering pigments.
This versatile additive is suitable for both hand brushing and airbrushing applications. For optimal results, Mr. Color 188 - Flat Base Rough must be thinned exclusively with Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Color Levelling Thinner, or Mr. Color Rapid Thinner. Avoid using water or other acrylic thinners, as they are not compatible with this lacquer-based formula.
