1/72 Shinmeiwa US-1A "71st Squadron"

Hasegawa presents the 1/72 scale Shinmeiwa US-1A "71st Squadron" model kit, capturing the distinctive lines of this iconic Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) search and rescue amphibian. This kit allows enthusiasts to build a detailed replica of the US-1A, a true amphibian aircraft renowned for its capabilities in open-ocean rescue operations.

This limited edition kit features new parts, including resin components for the main landing gear storage bulge, the upper nose antenna, and the speaker located on the left wing side of the vertical stabilizer, enhancing accuracy and detail. The US-1A is an updated version of the PS-1 flying boat, known for its improved engine output and unique blown flap design that enables impressive slow-flight characteristics.

The model is molded in gray and clear plastic, providing a solid foundation for painting and customization.
