As a solvent-based acrylic lacquer, this paint provides the superior durability and rapid drying times that professional modelers expect from the Mr. Color range. The fine pearl pigments are designed for a smooth, self-leveling application that avoids the graininess often found in standard metallic paints. Optimal performance is achieved through airbrushing. It is recommended to thin the paint at a ratio of 1:1.5 or 1:2 using Mr. Color Thinner or Mr. Leveling Thinner. Using Leveling Thinner will further improve the glossiness and smoothness of the finish. Once dry, a clear gloss topcoat is recommended to protect the pearl layer and provide a showroom-quality shine.
