For optimal results, thin Mr. Color paints with Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Color Leveling Thinner, or Mr. Color Rapid Thinner. An airbrush thinning ratio of 1 part paint to 1-2 parts thinner is recommended, typically requiring 2-3 coats for full coverage. For brush painting small parts, a ratio of 1 part paint to 0.8-1.0 parts thinner is suggested, applied in 1-2 coats. The gloss level can be customized by adding Mr. Color C30 Flat Base; mix 5-10% for a semi-gloss effect or 10-20% for a matte finish. Mr. Color provides a superior, smoother, and harder finish compared to Aqueous Hobby Color. Aqueous Hobby Color and Acrysion can be applied over Mr. Color, but Mr. Color should not be applied over them.
