[TOKU-3] 1/700 1/700 YAMATO last type

Fujimi presents the 1/700 scale model kit of the Imperial Japanese Navy Battleship Yamato, meticulously recreated in its powerful "last type" configuration. This highly detailed static display model captures the iconic battleship as it appeared during its final mission, Operation Ten-Go, in April 1945. Enthusiasts will appreciate the faithful reproduction of the Yamato's formidable presence, reflecting its upgraded anti-aircraft armament following the Battle of Leyte.

This kit offers intricate components that showcase the battleship's complex design. The hull is precisely split into left and right sections, separated at the waterline, and features customized side parts for portholes, allowing them to be depicted as either closed with convex engraving or open with concave carving. The main guns are designed to tilt and rotate, with 46 cm main gun barrels featuring open muzzles thanks to slide mold technology. Dedicated parts for the main gun turret and gun mount accurately reproduce additional machine gun seats, while the secondary guns rotate with an integrated one-piece structure.

The superstructure is equally detailed, with the bridge employing slide molds to minimize seams and integrating specialized parts for the relocated 22-go radar on its sides. The funnels are composed of left and right pieces, artfully portraying details like steam and whistle pipes, and monkey ladders, with the cap portion hollowed for a realistic depth effect. The mast features a two-piece structure, integrating the 13-go radar used during the period. The kit also includes two carrier aircraft, a Zero (three-seat) reconnaissance seaplane and a Zero observation plane, molded in dark green parts.
