[NX-8] 1/700 IJN Aircraft Carrier Shinano

Built on the massive hull of what was originally intended to be the third Yamato class battleship, this 1/700 scale model captures the Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier Shinano in its final 1944 configuration. As part of a specialized snap fit line, this kit is designed for a seamless building experience that does not require adhesive or paint to achieve a high quality finish. The main components are molded in multiple colors, including a hull shade that replicates the specific Yokosuka Naval Arsenal color and a flight deck molded in a dark gray with a slight bluish tint.

The model features a sophisticated two piece flight deck design, separating the concrete deck from the outer edge to simplify the process for those who choose to add custom paint. Fine details are handled by realistic stickers with excellent surface conformity, covering everything from the anti submarine camouflage on the sides to the white guidance lines on the deck. For added realism, the retractable antenna support is built as a movable structure, and the kit includes two types of rudders to match historical variations.

This edition includes an upgraded display base designed with a lower center of gravity for superior stability. The underside of the base features integrated compartment trays, providing a convenient way to organize small parts during the assembly process.
