[1/350-No10] 1/350 JMSDF DDH ISE

A highly detailed replica of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) DDH-182 Ise, this 1/350 scale plastic model kit by Fujimi brings the second ship of the Hyuga-class helicopter destroyers to your collection. Commissioned in March 2011, the Ise is a modern vessel designed primarily for anti-submarine warfare (ZOP) activities, featuring a distinctive full-length flight deck and robust destroyer capabilities.

The kit accurately captures the Ise's unique silhouette, with its bridge structure consolidated on the starboard side and angled deck-like helicopter landing spots on the port side. Builders will appreciate the intricate detailing of the ship's on-board equipment, electronic systems, and various antennas across the superstructure.

Fujimi has engineered this model for an engaging building experience. Many parts, particularly within the superstructure, utilize slide molding, and the hull is split left and right with a single-piece flight deck, contributing to a more straightforward assembly compared to other 1/350 scale ship models. The forward and aft elevators can be positioned in either raised or lowered states, allowing for dynamic display options.

The kit includes updated decals to accurately represent the latest flight deck markings, including those designed for Osprey take-off and landing in joint operations with the US military, as well as the 5th landing spot. Subtle differences from the lead ship, Hyuga, such as the forward weapon elevator frame and specific dotted lines on the elevator, are also faithfully reproduced.
