[TOKU-17] 1/700 IJN Aircraft Carrier Amagi

Fujimi's 1/700 IJN Aircraft Carrier Amagi [TOKU-17] brings to life a significant vessel from the Imperial Japanese Navy. This meticulously detailed plastic model kit allows enthusiasts to construct the second ship of the Unryu-class, as it appeared upon its completion in August 1944. The Amagi was designed as a mass-production medium carrier during wartime, featuring simplified construction compared to its predecessor, the Unryu.

Experience the unique characteristics of the Amagi, including its distinctive square gun mounts and an enlarged bridge rear. The kit boasts excellent detail reproducibility through precise part division and delicate sculptural expressions across the model. The flight deck is intricately sculpted with aircraft arrestor rings, landing stop lines, expansion joints, and windbreak fences. Builders can choose to assemble the concealed Type 21 radar and two concealed searchlights in either their stowed or deployed positions, adding to the realism. The elevator can also be posed in either a raised or lowered state, revealing the hangar deck below.

The main hull parts are molded in a light green, thoughtfully chosen to aid in painting the outer port No. 22 anti-submarine camouflage color. Aircraft and machine gun parts are molded in gray.

• 12-meter inshore boat, with separate parts for canvas, steering room, and engine room canopy for easier painting. The boat's main body and loading floor are separated into three parts, allowing for post-paint assembly, and it can be represented without a canvas.
